Terms of Service

The short, plain-language agreement between you and Horizon.

Last updated: July 24, 2026 · Effective during Horizon Beta.

Horizon is a personal-finance forecasting tool. These terms describe what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return. We've kept them short and readable on purpose — and the promises we make are the ones we can actually keep today.

What Horizon is

Horizon helps you think about the money you have coming in and going out. Forecasts and recommendations are estimates based on the information you provide. They are not guarantees of future balances, and they are not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice.

How you use Horizon

You agree to use Horizon for your own personal financial planning and not to attempt to disrupt the service, reverse engineer it, or use it in ways that would violate applicable law. Please verify important decisions against your bank's current balance and transaction history — Horizon is a forecast, not a source of truth for what has already happened.

Your data

You are responsible for keeping your device secure. During beta, your data lives in your browser on this device (see Data & Security). You can clear a single category or wipe everything from Settings at any time.

What we will not do

While these terms are in effect, we commit that Horizon will not:

  • Sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
  • Add ad-tech pixels, cross-site trackers, or behavioral analytics.
  • Turn on cloud sync, bank connections, or account creation without asking you first.
  • Change any of the promises above quietly — meaningful changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.

Beta status

Horizon is currently in beta. Features, forecasts, and recommendations are still evolving, and occasional bugs are possible. Some of the specifics on this page — device-local storage and no telemetry beyond crash reports — describe how the app works today. If any of them change as Horizon matures (for example, optional cloud sync or bank connections), we'll surface the change in the app first, not in a quiet footer.

No warranties

Horizon is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Horizon and its makers are not liable for financial decisions made using the product. Always confirm important numbers with your bank.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Horizon matures out of beta. If something material changes, we'll highlight it inside the app. Questions? Reach out from the support options in Settings.

We read every message and usually reply within one business day.

This page is maintained by the Horizon team to answer common questions about how the product works. It's plain-language guidance, not a substitute for legal or financial advice.
