Horizon keeps your money data close. Here's where it lives, what moves, and what we don't claim.
Stored on your device
By default, everything you enter — balances, income, bills, habits, payment plans, and scenarios — lives in your browser's local storage. It stays there unless you turn on cloud backup.
Clearing browser data or using "Clear everything" in Settings removes it. Without cloud backup, there is no server copy to restore.
Optional cloud backup
A free Horizon account stores one encrypted snapshot of your money data on Lovable Cloud, used only for syncing across devices and recovering from a cleared browser. You can delete the cloud copy from Settings at any time.
What Horizon can see
Horizon doesn't ask for bank credentials and has no fields for them. There are no analytics libraries, session recorders, or ad-tech trackers embedded in the app. If optional bank sync arrives later, it'll be opt-in and announced first.
How the app is delivered
Horizon is served over HTTPS by Lovable. Standard request metadata like IP address, User-Agent, requested URL, and timestamp is visible to the host. Your forecast contents are not sent unless you enable cloud backup.
If React catches a crash, Horizon may forward a diagnostic report to the hosting platform: error message, stack trace, and current page path. No balances, transactions, form values, or typed content are included.
Third-party requests
Fonts, styles, and scripts are served from the same host as the app. No third-party scripts, iframes, pixels, font CDNs, or SDKs are loaded. See Privacy for the full list.
Your control
You can clear individual categories or wipe everything from Settings at any time. With cloud backup enabled, deleting your data removes both the cloud and local copies.
What we don't claim
Horizon is not a bank, broker, or financial advisor. We do not hold or move money, and we do not guarantee future balances.
Horizon does not hold SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR audit status. We do not claim to be enterprise-grade. If you need audited software for your situation, Horizon is not the right fit yet.
